I left home at 6:30 a.m. yesterday and returned at 10 p.m. on an extra credit reporting trip for an assignment and doing some filming for The Elversphere (working title). I visited two museums, seven convenience stores, one yard, one restaurant, one parking lot, and two wharves. Below is what rose to the surface when I got home last night (without looking at my notes or listening to my recordings). None of most of this will end up in the story but it had to go somewhere. It's here for now--thank you for reading.

A dog breaks into the Guide’s Gallery at the Grand Lakes History Museum and tries to gnaw on the old baby bear before he’s shooed out. There are more guides in the Grand Lake Stream area than anywhere else in “Maine.” You don’t get your picture on the wall until you pass away.
